Dr. Wells is cool. He is getting old, but not scenile. He is part retired, so he is only scheduled to be on campus two days a week, but he is frequently here 3 or more, especially toward the end of the semester. Take this class before MTSU loses one of their best Emeritus faculty members. Take Dr. Wells for something before he leaves for good.
Exams: The "test" in Transmitting Electron Microscopy are the EM's that you turn in at the end of the semester. Dr. Wells grades them very fairly.
Homework: Putting time in the lab
Textbook: There is no text. Dr. Wells gives you hand outs that serve as instruction. Additionally he sits down with you in the lab and shows you how to use all the equipment. He also gives you all his phone numbers so that if you have a question you can get in touch with him.

Dr. Wells is a nice man, but I hated his lecture style. He rambles on and on from notes onan overhead. His exams take about 2-3 hours to complete, however, they're not horriblydifficult. Unfortunately he's the only one who teaches Cell & Molec. If it's yoursemester to take him...sorry.
